Leuven has never taken the easy route when it comes to innovation. We love technology, but we also like to question it.
There is real optimism about what health tech can achieve. AI can already detect patterns that doctors may miss, sometimes even before symptoms appear. Health tech hardware is more performant than ever. That is extraordinary. Bovenmenselijk.
But progress also raises harder questions. What happens when technology moves faster than society can follow? Who controls our data? Who gets access, or gets left behind? And how do we make sure that health care remains human?
That is the other side of the theme: Bovenal Menselijk.
Through the Health Tech Sessions, Leuven MindGate brings together its three core domains: Deep Tech & Advanced Engineering, Digital & AI, and Health & Life Sciences.
That intersection is where many of today’s most relevant health technologies are being built. It's where researchers, entrepreneurs, healthcare professionals, companies and investors need to find one another.
